The NSE-ASI will see its first positive year in 2010 since 2008 [20-24 Dec, 2010]

If you focused on the NSE-ASI still trading below 25,000 you would have missed what appears to be a relatively active week. The NSE-ASI closed at 24,689.16 +1.0% (0.00 % in the previous week).
Volume went up to 2.0 billion shares (1.954 billion shares in the previous week). There is every chance the NSE-ASI will end the year below 25,000 as this week will be a shortened 3 day week. Holiday travelers might also impact active trading. Despite this, the NSE-ASI will see its first positive year since the correction in 2008 so far +19.86% (over 52 weeks) and +18.52% (for the year).
